I am let clerk in Harbour Drpartment. By Co.sander Beck:

I enter the Junk fees in the office Cash Book and Ledger:

These accounts have been recently increet: for a

period of over 20 days there ere short entries in the Shroff's

book; te cash banked was short and the Shroff named LAI VINO TAK

emberzled it! about or over $5,000: this was all collected

on a count f Boat fees.

r. Lenfestey 2nd clerk is in charge of Collection of

Boat and Junk fees; this is on the lower floor.

I krep a book called a Cash book in which I copy entries

"rom the Shroff's collection book daily, I do not ascertain if

tone entries are correct. r. Lenfestey is in charge of all

counter-foil books which are kept in the Strong Room: r. Le feste

insues a new book then the old one is nearly finished.

There is also a collection or Cash book of which I have been in

charge since ay 1905: during that period Ir. Tan Tsung ing was

in charge up till r. Lenfestey took charge in about June 1910.
